Just informasi bagi seluruh teman dan pembaca, khususnya yang sedang belajar bisnis dan yg ingin suatu ketika punya usaha sendiri. Jangan lewatkan kitab Gramedia Pustaka Utama (GPU) tentang entrepreneurship berjudul " 10 PENGUSAHA YANG SUKSES MEMBANGUN BISNIS DARI O (NOL)" ditulis Sudarmadi. Buku ini sangat relevan & diharapkan bagi yg ingin sukses memulai & merintis bisnis sendiri. Buku ini mengulas kiat2 & misteri sukses 10 pengusaha akbar yang sudah terbukti sukses membangun usaha dari nol. Pengusaha yg diulas adalah mereka benar2 sudah terbukti sukses, dengan usaha yang telah mapan. Mereka ini sukses karena perjuangannya sendiri, bukan usaha warisan ortunya sebagai akibatnya sisi pembelajarannya relatif poly yang diulas jatuh-bangunnya.
Ke-10 pengusaha ini bidang bisnisnya jua berbeda2. Ada yang bisnisnya fashion, aparel, tas, sepatu, tambang, jasa kurir/logistik, perikanan, jasa hukum, lelang, main dealer kendaraan beroda empat/motor & consumer good. Saya kira buku ini sangat perlu buat kawan2 peminat entrepreneur, dari sini kita mampu belajar dari orang yg sudah terbukti (proven) pada membentuk usaha hingga skala besar . Diantara yang diulas, pengusaha tas menurut Bandung pemilik tas merek Exsport, Eiger, Bodypack (dll) yang ternyata beliau itu saat memulai modalnya nggak hingga Rp 1 juta, tetapi sekarang omsetnya telah ratusan miliar & karyawannya 2.000 orang (belum termasuk ribuan pengrajin plasma yg diajak). Orang ini bercerita panjang-lebar kenapa sukses dan bagaimana sulitnya dulu dia menembus buat bisa diterima menjadi pemasok pada jaringan Matahari & Ramayana.
Lalu, terdapat pengusaha perikanan dari Jatim alumni IPB yg dulu modalnya pinjam pamannya tetapi kini salah satu eskportir terbesar pada Indonesia. Orang ini bisa kuliah lantaran sambi ngajar privat pada SMA-Sekolah Menengah Atas, orang tuanya nggak sanggup. Tapi sekarang karyawannya 5.000 orang.
Ada juga mantan karyawan Astra yang sekarang sukses mengelola bisnis sendiri di bisnis sepatu & karyawannya juga sudah 9.000 orang. Padahal pengusaha sepatu ini awalnya hanya penjaga gudang di Batik Semar. Orang ini agama Nike di Indonesia.
Yang juga menarik, pengusaha kurir yang usianya belum genap 40 tahun tetapi telah punya karyawan 2.000 orang. Orang ini dulunya supervisor di Dinners Club yang kemana2 gelantungan naik bus kota di Jakarta, tapi kini sukses menciptakan bisnis kurir menggunakan modal jual cincin mas kawin.
Bagi para peminat bisnis di bidang dealer atau distributor, ada profil menarik Rudy Suardana. Dia pengusaha Kaltim yg sukses sebagai main dealer mobil & motor Suzuki di Kaltim. Dia dulu dibesarkan pada panti asuhan lho. Kawan-kawan bisa belajar bagaiamana sih inti bisnis dealership itu. Apa yg harus dilakukan bila ingin survive.
Tak hanya itu, bagi para pendaftar usaha consumer good misalnya makanan, minuman, farmasi, dll, terdapat pengusaha muda yang sanggup dipelajari. Dia pemilik Group Kino yg awalnya hanya distributor kecil tetapi kemudian mengembangkan diri sebagai pemain akbar di consumer good.
Ada pula pengusaha sukses di usaha lelang. Beliau awalnya jualan kudapan manis tetapi terus rajin belajar & menciptakan proposal. Makanya sanggup berkembang bisnisnya & lalu menemukan global usaha lelang. Dari sini mitra-mitra bisa tahu bahwa jikalau punya ilham dan gagasan usaha, itu sanggup dijual ke investor & kita dapat saham lho!
Terus, bagi yg ingin sukses merintis usaha aturan misalnya lawfirm atau notaris, kitab ini pula relevan karena terdapat pengusaha bidang hukum yang diprofilkan. Beliau awalnya hanya dimodali orang saat buka kantor, lalu sukses berkembang menjadi lawyer BIG Ten di Indonesia. Padahal dia perempuan lho... Menarik deh...
Saya kira banyak hal krusial & perlu pada jadikan ilham & model dalam menciptakan usaha. Menariknya kitab ini, kita belajar berdasarkan orang2 yg sudah menunjukan, bukan sekedar teori. Buku ini bisa didapatkan di Gunung Agung, Gramedia, dan toko-toko buku besar lainnya.

Salah Satu Buku Penting Untuk Investor Pasar Modal
The Intelligent Investor is based on value investing, an investment approach Graham began teaching at Columbia Business School in 1928 and subsequently refined with David Dodd.[1] This sentiment was echoed by other Graham disciples such as Irving Kahn and Walter Schloss.
The Intelligent Investor also marks a significant deviation to stock selection from Graham's earlier works, such as Security Analysis. He explained the change as:
The thing that I have been emphasizing in my own work for the last few years has been the group approach. To try to buy groups of stocks that meet some simple criterion for being undervalued -- regardless of the industry and with very little attention to the individual company... I found the results were very good for 50 years. They certainly did twice as well as the Dow Jones. And so my enthusiasm has been transferred from the selective to the group approach.
Graham's favorite allegory is that of Mr. Market, meant to personify the irrationality and class-think of the stock market. Mr. Market is an obliging fellow who turns up every day at the shareholder's door offering to buy or sell his shares at a different price. Often, the price quoted by Mr. Market seems plausible, but sometimes it is ridiculous. The investor is free to either agree with his quoted price and trade with him, or ignore him completely. Mr. Market doesn't mind this, and will be back the following day to quote another price.
The point of this anecdote is that the investor should not regard the whims of Mr. Market as a determining factor in the value of the shares the investor owns. He should profit from market folly rather than participate in it. The investor is advised to concentrate on the real life performance of his companies and receiving dividends, rather than be too concerned with Mr. Market's often irrational behavior.
Since the work was published in 1949 Graham revised it several times, most recently in 1971?72. This was published in 1973 as the "Fourth Revised Editiondanquot; ISBN 0-06-015547-7, and it included a preface and appendices by Warren Buffett. Graham died in 1976. Commentaries and new footnotes were added to the fourth edition by Jason Zweig, and this new revision was published in 2003.[3]
